Aesthetics, Cosmetology, Hairstyling and Nail Technology

Arizona utilizes a national-based exam through the National Interstate Council of State Boards of Cosmetology. All exams are computer-based exams for the theory and practical exams. The Cosmetology, Aesthetics, and Nail Technology practical is offered in English or Spanish. The Instructor's practical and theory exams are offered in English or Spanish. The instructor theory exams are offered in English or Spanish. The instructor's practical exam is only available in English at this time.

1	Register online with Virtual Inc. (PCS) to take the examination. Click "Applicants & Candidates" Click "Cosmetology & Barbering" Click "Arizona" Click "Create an account" and follow the instructions on how to create an account and schedule your exams. The cost is $177.00 for the written and practical exam.	Register with PCS Virtual Inc. will notify you by email of the practical examination date and give the instructions on scheduling the written exam. The Arizona Barbering & Cosmetology Board does not notify candidates for any examination date.
2	After passing both exams, you can apply for licensure with the Arizona Barbering & Cosmetology Board. The Arizona Barbering & Cosmetology Board will receive your test results directly from PCS.	License Application

Barber
