License Reactivation

Reactivation Information

If you have an aesthetics, cosmetology, hairstyling, or nail technology license or a salon establishment license and it shows as inactive, you will have to reactivate your license.

If your personal license has been inactive for over 5 years, you will have to pay the renewal and late fees, retake the exams, and reapply.

Please fill out the contact information below for a Licensing Specialist to reach out to you via email with the cost and steps of reactivating your license. It can take up to two weeks to be contacted.

You must enter an accurate license number. If you do not know it, please look it up through our license verification tool

Barbers: If you have been in 'expired' status for five years or less, you can make your license current by paying the renewal and late fees for those years in the portal. If you have been in 'expired' status for more than five years, you must retake the exams and submit a new barber application.

If you want to reactivate your establishment license but there is a change of ownership, name, or location, you must submit a new establishment application.
