License Printing Change

The Arizona Barbering & Cosmetology Board stopped printing and mailing licenses in November 2022. Licensees and establishment licensees will now print their licenses at their convenience. This process will allow for a quicker turnaround time when applying for and renewing your license.

License Renewal Instructions:

You may start renewing your license 60 days before its expiration date. Follow these steps to renew and print your license: 

  1. Sign in to the portal. Please note that our client portal is not compatible with mobile devices or tablets.
  2. Select ‘Renew Online Now’
  3. Follow the steps for renewing your license
  4. After you have made your payment, you will receive an email notification indicating that your license is ready to print
  5. Please follow the directions in the email. It will have you log back into the portal and have you select your license on the dashboard. It will then send you another email with your license attached to the email in a PDF. 

 

Barbers

When renewing or being licensed, you will receive an email from the portal with a printable version of your license.

To print a duplicate license, log into the portal. On the left navigation menu, select 'Duplicate License.'

I never received the email saying my license was ready to print. What do I do?

If you did not receive the email from the portal saying your license is ready to print, that is OK. To print your license, you will log into the renewal portal. On the right side, it will say 'Print Initial Certificate.' The portal will have you verify your email address and then it will send you a printable version of your license. 

I am renewing my license. How do I print it?

Once your payment is received, an email will be sent to you saying your license is ready to print. Sign in to the portal and you will be shown a screen that will display your license information. Your renewed license will display a link to "Print Initial Certificate". Click on the link, verify your email address and you will get an email with a PDF attachment of your license.

I just applied for a personal license. How do I print it?

Once your license has been approved, an email will be sent to you from the portal with your license number, a link to our portal, and instructions on how to create an account. After you have created your account, you will be shown a screen that will show your license number and a link to "Print Initial Certificate." You will need to verify our email address and then you will get an email with a PDF attachment of your license. 

I just applied for my license and I never received an email saying my license is ready to print. What should I do?

If you never received that email, that is just fine. You will log into the renewal portal and will be shown a screen that will show your license number and a link to "Print Initial Certificate." You will need to verify our email address and then you will get an email with a PDF attachment of your license. 

I need to print a copy of my license. How do I do that?

You no longer have to pay or request for a duplicate license. To print your duplicate, you will log in as if you are renewing your license. 

  1. Sign in to the portal
  2. On the right side of the dashboard, you will see your license(s) and the ability to print the duplicate for whichever you want to print. You will get an email with a PDF attachment of your license. 

I have multiple licenses. How do I print just the one I want?

To print a specific license, you will log in as if you are renewing your license. 

  1. Sign in to the portal
  2. On the right side of the dashboard, you will see your license(s) and the ability to print whichever you want to print. After you select which license you want to print, you will get an email with a PDF attachment of your license. 

I don't have a printer at home. What should I do?

There are multiple places where you can get your license printed. Some include your local library, Office Max, Staples, FedEx or UPS. You can print on standard 8.5x11 printer paper. Please do not reach out to the Customer Care Team and ask them to print and mail your license. We will not print personal licenses.

I need a duplicate salon license. How do I do this?

  1. Log into the portal
  2. On the right side, it will show your license(s) and say 'Print Duplicate Certificate.'
  3. It will have you verify your email address and then you will get an email with a PDF attachment of your license.
